Germany’s mobilcom-debitel is the largest mobile services provider in the country with more than 12 million customers. With a large portion of its business made up of roughly 600 brick-and-mortar stores, the company is embracing digitalization to transform its business model. Ultimately, its vision is to become a “digital lifestyle provider”—creating from mobile solutions, such as smart watches, VR glasses and drones, a digital lifestyle for its customers that improves their quality and enjoyment of life.
As a first step toward achieving its vision, mobilcom-debitel recognized the need to transition to an omni-channel business model—one that seamlessly integrates brick-and-mortar, online and call center channels, creating a consistent customer experience across all touchpoints.
