Get smart about meter roll-out

The countdown to a national roll-out of smart meters has begun. In August 2016, the Data Communications Company (DCC) will go live — starting the government’s roll-out of 53 million smart meters to more than 30 million domestic and small business premises.

Energy suppliers will have less than four and a half years to provide all their customers with smart meters — giving those customers accurate bills, detailed information on their energy usage and flexible tariffs.

To be ready for the DCC Go-Live this August, DCC users must be prepared in four key areas:
