As CGI looks ahead at 50, Michael Godin, President of CGI’s Canada Operations, reflects on the attributes that continue to shape the organization’s direction. Here is the transcript of his remarks:
Reflections on 50 years
Fifty years is a major milestone. Half a century, and I know that it means that there's a lot of hard work behind every single one of you, and the ones that were here before us. So, I want to again acknowledge all of that—the great work and passion that allowed us to be here today and to be part of such a great company.
Attributes that shaped our journey
The main attribute for me is really the intrapreneurship value. It remains very present every day. It's very dear to my heart. It does guide us on a day-to-day basis to make sure that we bring that creativity and that we go the extra mile.
Delivering value for our stakeholders
The key opportunity that comes to mind would be to make sure that we remain relevant. We keep learning because things change so rapidly that it's very important that we have that curious mindset.
The future of CGI is…
The future of CGI is great and promising. There's going to be, I'm sure, a lot of great things in front of us. You know, the next 50 years I'm sure will be extremely exciting.
