Biraja Mohapatra is a technology leader with more than two decades of experience in consulting and enterprise transformation in the telecommunications industry. With his deep understanding of industry trends, Biraja specializes in seamlessly blending enterprise architecture and business development to embed AI into core business processes, unlocking new revenue streams and driving operational efficiency across CGI's global clients.
He brings deep expertise across AI-powered transformation, software development life cycle (SDLC) acceleration, cloud transformation and next-generation network modernization spanning 5G, IoT and autonomous networks. He also contributes and drives our partnerships through active participation in alliances and industry bodies such as the TM Forum and other telco forums.
Biraja holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications, an Executive MBA from IIM Bangalore, and has completed the Chief Digital/AI Officer Program at ISB Hyderabad, along with extensive certifications across cloud, AI, design thinking and telecommunications.
Biraja is invested in shaping CGI’s AI and digital strategy. He leads cross-functional teams and strategic programs focused on integrating AI and GenAI into modern service offerings and enterprise delivery models, leveraging cloud, DevSecOps and agile frameworks. As an expert on CGI’s Telecommunications Council, he is passionate about helping organizations transform from traditional telcos to technology-focused organizations.
