Every year, International Women’s Day is an opportunity for organizations across industries, including technology, to address how bias affects women. In fact, the theme of this year’s IWD is #BreaktheBias. While technology is an innovative and forward-thinking industry, women remain underrepresented in this field, despite progress over the years.

At CGI, we understand that gender diversity drives better performance and, in turn, better outcomes for all of our stakeholders—clients, professionals and investors. Diverse teams are more creative, make better decisions, and deliver more innovative solutions and services.

Unfortunately, gender stereotypes can dissuade girls and women from pursuing technology careers. To challenge biased assumptions and to encourage more girls and women to enter the technology field, we strive to commemorate IWD by sharing stories of how our professionals—both women and men—are working to break gender bias in technology.

Our strategic business units share these stories both internally and externally within their regions and markets to raise awareness of IWD, gender bias in technology, and our collective need to work together to break this bias.

These stories are part a broader set of CGI initiatives that advance diversity and inclusion within our culture and communities. We promote an inclusive workplace where women's careers thrive and their achievements are celebrated. In fact, our 2025 gender equality goal is to achieve the same level of diversity at our leadership levels that exists across our company as a whole.

We are proud to support IWD each year, and we look forward to the day when gender bias in technology is completely broken.
