CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) in the United States was recognized in the first national “Top Workplaces USA” list. This distinction honors organizations for a variety of attributes, including workplace culture, employee benefits, company charitable contributions and employee satisfaction.

“We are proud of CGI’s culture of ownership, transparency, inclusion and career development,” states David L. Henderson, CGI President of U.S. Commercial and State Government Operations. “While most companies have a vision and a mission, CGI goes a step beyond with the CGI Dream: ‘To create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of.’ When you join CGI, you have the opportunity to shape the direction the company and your own career.”

CGI fosters a culture of ownership, respect, belonging, partnership and empowerment by calling employees “members” to reinforce that all are part of a collaborative team of owners empowered to drive the business and share in the rewards that come from building a world-class IT company. CGI members have many opportunities for direct communication with management and are involved in decision-making processes at all levels through forums, such as the Voice of the Member survey. CGI has a health and wellness program for its members, supports members’ career mobility, and encourages and supports continuous learning through CGI Academia and tuition assistance programs.

“At CGI, the people who work here are valued as much as the clients and shareholders,” stated Debbie Rhodes, CGI Vice-President of Human Resources. “We are committed to strengthening our members’ health, wellness, learning and career growth opportunities by encouraging behaviors that foster a strong work-life balance. And because roughly 80% of our U.S. members are CGI shareholders, they have a unique motivation to contribute to the company’s growth.”

Top Workplaces USA offers national recognition for large organizations, those with more than 150 employees, and those that may have operations in multiple markets. Several thousand organizations from across the country were invited, and more than 1,100 participated in the Top Workplaces USA survey. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey, issued by Energage. Results are calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance against industry benchmarks.

CGI locations previously recognized in Top Workplaces Regional Awards include the Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Cleveland, Greater Washington D.C and Pittsburgh metropolitan areas.
