Disclaimer

CGI Federal is committed to maintaining the highest standard of ethical conduct at all times and complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations in the conduct of its business in the federal marketplace. CGI Federal holds Momentum Day in furtherance of its MUG Charter obligations to provide a forum for federal members of the MUG to share implementation strategies and product experience, to help federal users to shorten the learning curve, and to share best practices. The MUG Board, a collaboration of federal government representatives, oversees the MUG activities, including reviewing and approving the Momentum Day agenda.

Momentum Day further establishes a forum for MUG members to exercise the voice of the federal government envisioned by the MUG Charter with agencies providing speakers and discussion. Momentum Day is open to all MUG members and other attendees who want to benefit from the MUG collaboration. In this regard, CGI Federal believes that federal agency personnel can attend and participate in the regulated and chartered forum within the course and scope of their employment. A copy of the MUG Charter is available upon request from the Chair of the FY 2022-2023 MUG Board, Noah Kaufman, at the Department of State via KaufmanN@state.gov.

WAG event

Momentum Day is expected to attract in excess of 600 participants from over 30 federal, state and local governmental entities as well as commercial participants. Along with offering a forum for exercising the rights and obligations of MUG membership, the Momentum Day agenda includes general awareness training and information, such as understanding the direction of federal budgeting or managing financial operations with a low-code solution.

Given the topics of general interest and attendance by both U.S. government and commercial personnel interested in this information and training, CGI Federal believes that the learning activities offered at Momentum Day qualify under the Widely Attended Gathering (WAG) exception to the general gift prohibition as defined in federal government ethics regulations applicable to executive agency employees and officials. However, CGI Federal understands that designation as a WAG is at the determination of each agency's Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO). Attendees may opt out of the learning credit available for attendance.

Meals and hospitality

Free attendance, if authorized by the applicable DAEO, will involve a waiver of all or part of the conference fee, and/or the provision of food and refreshments (for in-person attendees), and/or the provision of entertainment, instruction and materials which are furnished to all attendees and are included as an integral part of the event. For purposes of transparency in ethical assessment, the conference fee of $650.00 includes food costs for a continental breakfast at $38.00, lunch at $47.00, and non-alcoholic refreshments & snacks at $35.00 for a total of $120.00 per person. Government employees, who need to pay any portion of the meal cost, should include their payment (check or cash) in a sealed envelope, including their name, agency, and payment amount) and use the available donation box.

If any attendee is required by applicable rules to pay any part of the costs of attending this event or has any questions about this ethics disclosure, please contact the appropriate Agency Ethics Official, who in turn may contact the CGI Federal Ethics Office at ethics.officer@cgifederal.com. If your DAEO deems that this event is not a gratuity or that the event is covered by a different exception to the general gift prohibition, please forward that determination to ethics@cgifederal.com.

Health and safety

The health and safety of Momentum Day attendees is a priority. In partnership with the hotel/venue we will adhere to all official government and local authority guidance, as well as any venue or location-specific regulations. Currently, in-person attendees will not need to provide proof of vaccination or negative test results to participate and facial coverings are welcome but optional based on personal preference.

If you are planning to attend in-person and you develop any symptoms of illness during travel or once onsite, you must leave the conference space immediately.

We will continue to monitor evolving guidelines and communicate any updates as needed.  The CGI Federal team is ready to deliver an amazing experience while providing a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
