Stu Davis is a nationally recognized IT leader and pragmatic, creative thinker focused on successful business outcomes.

Prior to CGI, Stu was the State of Ohio’s longest-serving Chief Information Officer (CIO), working under John Kasich from 2011-2018. As CIO, he led the statewide program to transform and optimize IT operations for 26 state agencies and over 80 boards and commissions. During this time, the State of Ohio saved over $162 million in IT operations and IT infrastructure costs. Under his direction, the state moved from investing more than 80% of its IT dollars in infrastructure to more than 59% on critical state services for citizens and businesses across Ohio. Ohio also had several “industry first” initiatives, including identity/access management, data analytics, cyber security, infrastructure consolidation, and digital citizen engagement, all designed to make Ohio a better place in which to live, work and learn.

Stu has 25+ years of experience in the management of Information Technology and Geographic Information Systems in the private and public sector, as well as international consulting experience. He is also a Past President of the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) and the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC).
