CGI announced today that it has signed a continuation of its Network Technical Training Contract with 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS). Under the terms of the agreement, valued at as much as CDN$6.5 million over the next two years, CGI will continue as 3Com's Authorized North American Training Partner.

CGI estimates that over the two-year period, approximately 6,000 IT professionals will be trained on the sales, installation, implementation, development and maintenance of 3Com network solutions including LANs, WANs, VPN utilizing hubs, switches, routers and related equipment.

CGI will provide open-enrollment training as well as on-site company training in major North American cities from coast to coast. Students will include end-users of 3Com technology and equipment as well as 3Com employees, distributors and resellers. CGI's state-of-the-art courses will use 3Com-certified instructors, current 3Com products, enhanced hands-on labs, fully equipped facilities and flexible availability.
