CGI bases our mental health strategy on a simple, yet powerful belief: Care grows through connection.
We view the mental health of CGI Partners as a global commitment strengthened by thousands of meaningful actions. Across CGI offices worldwide, local teams demonstrate how small, community-driven initiatives can spark great momentum, building a culture where every professional feels supported, understood and empowered to thrive.
Contributing to a shared culture of care
Each year, CGI teams develop initiatives tailored to the unique needs of their communities.
Tools promoted in several countries, such as the Mental Health Continuum Self-Check and AI simulations that build interpersonal and stress management skills, provide our consultants and professionals with practical support in their daily work.
CGI Partners in the UK are encouraged to adopt healthier digital habits and build emotional resilience. To support their busy lifestyles, the Thrive Mental Well-Being app provides accessible, on-the-go mental health resources. This confidential tool helps CGI Partners manage stress, anxiety, and related conditions through features such as computerized cognitive behavioral therapy, calm breathing exercises, muscle relaxation techniques and more.
The Managers on the Move program inspires U.S. leaders to champion mental health by modeling self-care and establishing team rituals, like quick check-ins and moments to reset.
In Germany, CGI Partners take a proactive approach to mental well-being, through workshops on cognitive ergonomics and neurodiversity, and learning how to cultivate inclusive work environments that reduce cognitive overload and value diverse thinking styles.
These efforts not only reflect local realities but also contribute to a shared culture of care across the organization.
Global awareness and impact
In 2022, CGI announced our official observance of May as Mental Well-Being Awareness Month to destigmatize mental health conversations and promote the support available. To foster open dialogue and raise awareness on topics often left unspoken, we organize activities across our regions. Thousands of colleagues participate in conferences, webinars, panel discussions, workshops and volunteer activities—coming together to support mental well-being and strengthen our community.
As their 2025 contribution, CGI Partners in Canada shared 6,182 appreciation messages on the internal recognition platform, resulting in a collective donation of $20,000 to the Canadian Mental Health Association—transforming the power of gratitude into a force for good. Additionally, CGI in Canada launched a suicide prevention guardians’ network, training volunteer CGI Partners to offer active listening, support, and guidance to anyone experiencing emotional distress or crisis.
In recognition of World Mental Health Day, we introduced an annual event that unites our peer-to-peer network of Mental Health Ambassadors—trained volunteers from all levels of the organization who help destigmatize conversations around mental health.
Creating space for honest conversations
At the heart of our approach lies one of CGI’s most recognized global initiatives: the Mental Health Minute. This award-winning practice encourages teams to begin meetings with a short reflection or discussion on topics such as psychological safety, stress, social connection and resilience.
By normalizing these conversations, the Mental Health Minute helps create a climate of trust—one that nurtures stronger teams, reduces stigma and allows individuals to express challenges that may otherwise remain invisible.
Promoting well-being through community challenges
Across our regions, teams design creative programs that inspire both physical and mental well-being.
In France, CGI Partners actively involved in ESG initiatives related to inclusion and mental health worked together to energize 22 CGI sites through 80 activities that encouraged movement, connection and shared purpose.
The annual Step to It Challenge in the UK invites CGI Partners to set and achieve an individual goal or help reach a team goal of 200 million steps over six weeks. On average, 84% of participants report improved mental and physical health and 87.4% become more active.
Supporting physical health as part of mental health
Recognizing the close ties between physical and mental well-being, CGI also advances awareness around significant health challenges.
CGI in France is a signatory of the Cancer@Work Charter and earned the Cancer@Work label, which acknowledges our commitment to supporting CGI Partners affected by cancer or chronic illnesses, whether as patients or caregivers. Additionally, we co-created Endo@CGI with Luna for Health to raise awareness of endometriosis and provide dedicated support to women’s health.
Across many countries, CGI Partners participate in company-sponsored Pink October and Movember campaigns to raise awareness of cancer and the importance of early detection. Our involvement underscores the vital role of preventive health care in supporting long-term well-being.
Global change starts with local commitment
We are proud that our local teams feel empowered to take action. Whether participating in a workshop, sharing a recognition message or opening a conversation, CGI Partners contribute to a movement that resonates across our entire organization. By connecting to these grassroots efforts, we spark momentum and build greater awareness, demonstrating that meaningful change starts close to home.
