Fifty-five CGI members in the U.S. raised more than $100,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by competing in endurance races across the country as part of our U.S. Team in Training® (TNT) program.

Created by the LLS as a means of promoting good health and raising funds, the TNT program is the largest endurance training program in the country.

CGI partnered with LLS to bring the program to its U.S. members. The program offers participants at all fitness levels a four-to-five month comprehensive fitness training program under the guidance of experienced coaches.

In return, participants raise funds for the fight against blood cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, which claim the lives of more than 50,000 people in the United States each year.

The U.S. team trained for nine different endurance running events. At the same time, they held fundraising events, such as wine tastings, office bake sales and auctions to raise money.

CGI provided substantial financial support by donating up to 50% of each participant’s required fundraising minimum.

Given the amount the team raised, LLS gave CGI the opportunity to name a grant focused on leukemia research.

“Through teaming up with LLS, I can impact many families and want to encourage others to do the same,” said Daniel McNeil, a TNT participant.

“All of us on Team CGI are raising funds to help stop leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma from taking more lives. I’m completing my endurance event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These are the real heroes on our team.”
