Paris, France, July 10, 2005

As part of the overall reengineering of Cofinoga's corporate information system, CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (TSX: GIB.SV.A; NYSE: GIB), one of the largest independent information technology firms in the world, has implemented its debt recovery management system, CACS Enterprise Version 8, at Cofinoga. CACS is currently the solution leader in this market, with more than 260 client references around the world, 20 of which are in Europe. Cofinoga is CGI's first client company in France to introduce CACS.

A flexible, permanent solution
Cofinoga was seeking to modify and rationalize its management, recovery and reporting systems. Launched operationally in February 2005, the project involves integrating CACS in France and a number of Cofinoga's subsidiaries in Holland and the United Kingdom, as well as partial integration as an initial phase in Portugal. The primary strengths of CACS include its compatibility with all market environments and the ease with which it can be parameterized.

CGI proposed its CACS solution to Cofinoga and deployed a multinational project team of some 10 experts. Cofinoga has integrated its own collaborators into the team to maximize the solution's job-specific benefits. For input, the solution is linked to the accounting function, while for output it links to the company's call centre and mail service to improve the management of collections handling. Cofinoga also requested a unique solution adapted to each subsidiary. CGI is therefore developing a CACS integration completely aligned to the ergonomics and various links of each subsidiary participating in the project.

CACS is a completely innovative solution based on a proven recovery strategy. The solution offers users scripts and multiple handling options to allow them to adapt their customer discussions to each individual case.

The implementation of CACS at Cofinoga, which is currently in the deployment phase, will affect hundreds of users, who, given their involvement in the project, are enthusiastic about the new tool. CACS will be completely operational by November 2005 in Cofinoga's foreign subsidiaries. In France, the solution pilot will go live during the same period, the head office in France having introduced specifications that have resulted in an adjustment the solution's implementation date.

Cofinoga has also contracted CGI to handle the solution's deployment in Spain, Italy and Portugal in 2006.

“We are particularly proud to be implementing CACS at Cofinoga, as this project represents the solution's introduction in France,” stated Jacques Leray, general manager of CGI in France. “With this major European project, we will now be in a position to initiate many other CACS deployments in various industry sectors in France.”
