CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of end-to-end information technology (IT) and business processing services, today announced that it has completed a US$192 million private debt placement financing with US institutional investors.
The private placement is comprised of three tranches of guaranteed senior unsecured notes, with a weighted average maturity of 6.4 years and a weighted average fixed coupon of 4.97%. The proceeds will be used to reimburse the drawn-down portion of the Company's existing credit facilities, as well as for general corporate purposes.
"Given the cash on hand and available credit facilities, CGI maintains a strong balance sheet and has the financial resources to support its growth objectives, including acquisitions and the signing of large outsourcing contracts," said Serge Godin, CGI's chairman and chief executive officer.
RBC Capital Markets and SG Cowen Securities Corporation acted as co-agents for this transaction.
