Calgary, Alberta, May 13, 2007

The Calgary Health Region has awarded a five year contract to CGI Group Inc.
(TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB), valued at approximately $9 million.

This
agreement assigns CGI as the primary IT services provider to design, build,
implement and operate the Alberta’s Provincial Health Information Exchange
(pHIE), an initiative sponsored and co-ordinated by Alberta Health and Wellness
and led by the Calgary Health Region. As a foundational component for the
interconnection of systems and sharing of information, envisioned over the next
several years this “one person, one record” heath information project will
create a well-managed, safe and secure point for data exchange between the
Regional, Physician, Alberta Cancer Board and Provincial systems that comprise
Alberta’s Electronic Health Record.

“Healthcare providers will be given
complete, real-time picture of their patient through access to clinical data
that is securely transferred between various systems. Patient care and safety
will benefit by having health information in the hands of all of the care
providers the patient encounter. Privacy and security standards will be higher
than anywhere else in the world”, says Bill Trafford, Vice-President Advanced
Technology, Calgary Health Region. “We are working closely with CGI to build and
operate a system that incorporates leading technologies to give us one of the
world’s most advanced health information exchanges.”

“The demonstrated
expertise that CGI has in healthcare transformation enables us to help the
Calgary Health Region deliver landmark services to citizens”, says Bill Clark,
CGI Senior Vice-President in Western Canada. “In turn, Calgary’s leading-edge
models will be leveraged to the benefit of other jurisdictions across Canada.”

CGI Healthcare provides expertise that accelerates transformation to
electronic health records, facilitates secure health information exchange,
automates administration for hospital providers, aligns IT environments with
business requirements and manages these environments and the applications that
sit within them. The company has served healthcare clients throughout Canada and
the United States, including more than 200 hospitals, 30 healthcare systems and
more than 140,000 users as well as managed care organizations, private insurance
