Sustainable IT for our clients
Technology continues to advance through AI, data, and cloud innovation. With these gains come increasing costs and environmental impacts. At the same time, technology gives organizations powerful tools, and it is their responsibility to use these tools in a sustainable way to scale up their positive impact..
We raise awareness and apply sustainable IT practices in our operations, and work with you to apply these practices across your organization—from strategy through operations. We also collaborate with industry partners, to help mitigate the potential negative impacts of digital transformation.
Sustainable IT services
At CGI we provide Sustainable IT services that address environmental challenges and social considerations, such as digital accessibility and inclusion. These services include:

It provides you a clear and comprehensive understanding of strategy, governance, communication and training, digital equipment lifecycles and digital services lifecycles to help define your roadmap.
- IT environmental footprint: We partner with specialized providers to measure and assess IT-related carbon emissions and environmental impact. Together, we provide customized advisory services to define decarbonisation roadmaps tailored to your objectives.
- Training: We use our change management expertise to help your teams engage in Sustainable IT initiatives. Our learning solutions include an awareness e-learning module, serious games, eco-design training and our PLENR Training platform, which features hands-on challenges and quizzes.
- Sustainable design (eco-design and accessibility): Our sustainable design audit helps assess the maturity of specifications, content, front end, back end and architecture. We also provide advisory support on sustainable design and partner with specialized solutions to strengthen sustainable design practices.
