Regina, Saskatchewan, November 5, 2010

CGI Group Inc. (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) today announced the signing of a seven year, multi-million dollar agreement that will see CGI provide a customer information system implementation project and subsequent ongoing application management, infrastructure support and disaster recovery services to SaskEnergy Incorporated, Saskatchewan’s natural gas distribution utility.

CGI’s work includes the replacement of SaskEnergy’s legacy customer and billing information system utilizing Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) application to manage critical business functions including customer service, billing, collections and meter management.

“Through a competitive public process, SaskEnergy was looking for a technology, consulting and service provider that not only brought extensive industry knowledge to the table, but also had deep experience working with Customer Information Systems,” said Doug Kelln, President and Chief Executive Officer, SaskEnergy. “The security of our customer information and accurate, on-time billing is a top priority, and the CGI solution best fit our needs. We are also pleased that our solution will be hosted and supported by CGI through its operations in Saskatchewan.”

“Having a local team of more than 250 IT professionals ensure clients such as SaskEnergy have access to skilled knowledge and capability within the province.  It also provides an economic return in our community”, explained Jim Dundas, Regional Vice-President, Saskatchewan, CGI.

SaskEnergy operates one of the largest natural gas networks in North America, with over 14,000 km of transmission and 67,000 km of distribution pipeline.  SaskEnergy is focused on providing safe, reliable natural gas services to the residents and businesses of Saskatchewan.

“Companies and families rely on SaskEnergy to provide natural gas to their businesses and homes, and so the technology that supports SaskEnergy becomes very important,” said Doug McCuaig, President, Canada, CGI. “Our experience in this space is key, and we’re thrilled to have a leading utility like SaskEnergy as our client.”
