Dr. John Zehnpfennig serves as a director at CGI Federal, where his work spans transportation, AI, automation, cyberspace, information operations and critical infrastructure. He supports the Federal Aviation Administration's ongoing modernization of its Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) capabilities, serving as Chief Information Security Officer and contributing cybersecurity and operational insight to efforts that strengthen safety and reliability across the national airspace.
A business and IT leader with an exceptional track record of achieving client mission outcomes through collaboration, Dr. Zehnpfennig advises agency leaders on cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems, AI, data management, and cloud-infrastructural modernization, with recent engagements supporting FAA and CISA initiatives.
Dr. Zehnpfennig has a DSc from Marymount University, an MBA from Alabama A&M University, a MSc from the University of Michigan, and a BSc from West Point. He serves as an adjunct professor at Alabama A&M and Marymount universities. John is a retired U.S. Army officer of 25 years, leading missions with the Corps of Engineers, Signal Corps, and retiring as a Cyber Warfare Officer.
