An ASP solution for trusts, schedule II banks, and specialized lenders, EBS offers cross-functionality for all banking service requirements

What is EBS?

EBS is a comprehensive modular retail banking system designed to meet the needs of small to medium-sized financial institutions. The EBS feature-rich customizable banking application provides full functionality for deposit, lending and securitization making it your "bank in a box."

The EBS loan processing and administration module provides all the functionality required to create and administer a full suite of lending products, including adjustable rate mortgages, home equity line of credit, consumer and investment loans, and pre-approved and deferred payment loans. The EBS deposit module supports a full range of deposit products and the functionality to administer GIC's, RSP's, STD's, high yield accounts and annuities.

Delivered to a number of banks, trusts and specialized lending institutions across Canada via our ASP (application service provider) model, EBS is particularly well suited for small and mid-size financial institutions wishing to have all of the benefits of a licensed application without the initial investment required to implement the large technology infrastructure. More importantly, our ASP model allows you to invest your precious time and money in developing your business while CGI delivers the technology-based banking services that support your business as it grows.

How does EBS work?

The EBS modular system consists of 3 main components-deposit, lending and securitization. The 3 components of this system are delivered via ASP with operational, taxation and legislative support, and statements production. EBS is built on a Unix platform (AIX) and supports a thin-client, browser-based interface.

Your bank in a box, EBS provides full-function banking system functionality including:

  • Complete teller functionality
  • Teller/branch/GL accounting and reporting
  • Broker/dealer support with commission system
  • Customer correspondence & statement processing
  • Full range of management, regulatory and government reporting
