Fairfax, Virginia, March 16, 2010

CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced that its AMS Advantage® ERP solution was selected by Pima County, AZ, home of Tucson, in a competitive procurement of 11 bids to replace their existing legacy systems. The PimaCore project, valued at US$22 million over 10 years for software, maintenance, and professional services, will utilize AMS Advantage’s full suite of built-for-government ERP modules, including financial management, performance budgeting, and human resources management.

“CGI’s team and their AMS Advantage ERP solution are the best fit for Pima County,” said C.H. Huckelberry, County Administrator of Pima County. “Their solution is built to accommodate fund accounting and public sector procurement, which is distinctly different from other software systems that are built to support the private sector and then modified to accommodate unique public sector system requirements.”

With close to 8,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $1 billion, Project PimaCore will transform Pima County’s financial and related business systems to provide the efficiency, transparency, and accountability necessary for the effective performance of County government. This new system will meet the increasing demand for timely, accurate, and consistent information, and will provide the County with easy access and visibility into their business operations.

“At CGI, we are committed to providing our clients with quality IT solutions that are built specifically for the unique needs of government,” said Pat Colacicco, Vice-President of CGI’s AMS Advantage group. “We welcome Pima County as our newest client. We look forward to building a long term partnership with the County, focusing on transforming their future business operations through this important implementation.”
