Dr. German Sinuco-Leon is a quantum technology subject matter expert at CGI. He helps shape the organization’s work in quantum computing, sensing and post-quantum security, focusing on strategy, solution design and collaboration with industry, academia and government.

German draws on 15 years of atomic, molecular and optical physics research. After completing a PhD on hybrid solid-state and atomic systems at the University of Nottingham in the UK, he held research posts at Sussex and Durham, working on topics such as atom-chip design, ultracold molecule control and machine learning tools for quantum simulation. This background gives him practical insight into the opportunities and limits of today’s quantum technologies.

At CGI in the UK, German leads internal upskilling initiatives, mentoring data science teams on quantum-inspired optimization and quantum awareness. His goal is to understand the reality of the evolving quantum technology landscape, identify genuine performance gains and to guide clients from use-case selection through proof of concept on to plans for production-grade solutions as the technology matures.
