As Vice-President of Veterans Affairs at CGI, Danielle Applegate leads critical enterprise-wide initiatives to increase interoperability and efficiency at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Throughout her career, Danielle has been responsible for advancing large-scale government modernization programs. She has implemented several innovative federal health IT modernization efforts, including the electronic health record deployment at the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs and enhancements in health information exchange across the federal health landscape during the COVID pandemic and beyond. Her efforts have aided government agencies in delivering best value to citizens through streamlined efficiencies and improved user experiences. 

A well-known army veteran and tireless advocate, Danielle has received numerous industry awards for her dedication to the military and veteran community. She is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the nonprofit National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. She serves on the boards of PsychArmor Institute and the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation and as a Carry the Load Ambassador.
