CGI develops eRIMS application for public housing authorities
The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (Cleveland, Ohio) has chosen CGI to implement its Electronic Forms Application (EFA) for the Authority's Section 8 Department. The application was designed specifically for public housing authorities and is an expansion of CGI's electronic records and information management system (eRIMS) that automates the processing, storage and retrieval of information for government agencies. The component-based eRIMS-EFA system is fully configurable and will allow CMHA to electronically create, access and manage all forms used to manage the Section 8 Voucher Program.

What CGI will deliver
CGI's eRIMS-EFA system will help CMHA manage its ever-increasing document requirements, adhere to paperwork reduction initiatives and efficiently deliver services to its customer base. The system will allow Section 8 administrators to create and update standard forms, as required by the CMHA Section 8 department. Forms completed and submitted by users will be automatically captured, indexed, converted and stored as images in the eRIMS image repository. The forms builder within the application will allow administrators to create new forms and modify existing ones. The system will enable CMHA to improve efficiency, standardize form utilization, reduce paperwork and storage space, and efficiently comply with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rules and regulations.
