Cleveland, Ohio, April 22, 2004

Arlington County, Virginia, has selected CGI as its systems integrator to provide, implement, support and maintain an Enterprise Records Management System (ERMS).

Arlington County has approximately 189,000 residents, and its population is one of the most highly educated in the United States. The ERMS will be based on Hyland Software, Inc.'s OnBase solution. Within the initial contract, CGI will implement an enterprise-wide records management system platform within the Department of Technology Services. Upon acceptance and sign off, CGI will then roll out the technology to the Department of Human Services and the Real Estate Assessment Office. It is anticipated that the County enterprise records management standard will then be implemented within other divisions and departments as their business needs require, and as budget dollars are available to fund it.

CGI's electronic records management system will help Arlington County manage its document requirements, reduce paper work and deliver more efficient County services. The system will provide a fully configurable, scaleable environment to capture, digitally store, access and search County records. In addition to integrating and implementing the Countywide document management standard, CGI will offer its extensive subject matter expertise to help Arlington County establish a complete records management protocol. The protocol will include a policies and procedures manual on the retention and disposition of County records based on the regulatory requirements and guidelines provided by the Library of Virginia.

CGI's electronic records management experts have helped organizations analyze their business requirements, develop and implement solutions, train users and provide post-implementation review. CGI's government solutions professionals have helped federal, state and local agencies eliminate waste within their operations through improved inter-agency and interdepartmental workflow and administrative processes. CGI's information technology professionals have extensive experience in document-based Internet and network technologies and have the ability to quickly create and deploy integrated document management solutions for different applications, platforms and markets.
