CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.SV.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, announced today the signing of a three-year contract whereby CGI will manage all help-desk related services for Burlington Resources Inc., one of the world's largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. The help desk processes some 4,000 requests per month and provides support for over 4,000 desktops in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Algeria. CGI will serve the Houston-based company from its Regina-based centre of expertise.

CGI in Regina receives 50% of its revenue from clients outside the province and has created 100 new IT positions over the past five years. The Regina office employs 270 professionals. In addition, we have a committed team that deliver management of IT and business functions which includes technical help desk services available 7/24 utilizing sophisticated problem management and knowledge-based case tools.
