CGI Group (Europe) Ltd has implemented its insurance administration solution, GIOS (Global Insurance Open Solution) across Cornhill Insurance Schemes Division, part of the Allianz Group, which will help Cornhill achieve superior service levels both now and in the future.
GIOS is a highly flexible, modular, web-based solution which is capable of running all types of administration for all forms of insurance product. The first stage of the GIOS implementation is now live and covers core online processing including claims, policies, direct debits and credit cards. Additional functionality will be released in stages, allowing Cornhill to gain benefits from those parts of the system that have gone live while others are still being developed or undergoing testing.
Graham Norris, divisional manager, operations, Cornhill Insurance said, “We were impressed with the high levels of functionality within GIOS as well as the ease with which it can be customised. Our new, state-of-the-art administration system has been specifically designed for us with IT developers from across the Allianz Group and CGI. As well as bringing impressive reporting capabilities to our customers, it will also allow faster set-up times for new business and claims handling.”
GIOS has the ability to introduce new and enhanced business processes based on the maximum reuse of existing component parts, which saves significant amounts of time. Time is also saved by the high level of automation that GIOS provides meaning that a single transaction triggers a series of automated processes, reducing manual procedures.
Gary Boni, business development director at CGI Group Europe comments, “CGI’s successful partnership with Cornhill demonstrates the significant benefits that insurance companies can reap from GIOS. The levels of functionality, as well as the flexibility of GIOS, were key attractions to Cornhill and CGI is delighted that GIOS is helping Allianz Cornhill achieve outstanding customer service.”
Norris concludes, “GIOS enables Cornhill to hold one consistent view of its customers. This brings us way ahead of the competition in our ability to deliver impressive results to customers.”
