specializes in the long-term leasing and financing of vehicles to companies,
professionals and individuals. Among its service offering is automobile
claims management.

To improve its service in this domain, ALD Automotive has selected the
offer submitted by CGI France, specialists in information technology.
ALD has chosen the Global Insurance Solution, specifically developed by
CGI France and based on the P&C application, to respond to its needs.
Global Insurance Solution was created by the experts at CGI France and
developed using software components.

The solution is both unique and upgradeable. In addition to traditional
functionalities it offers the following:

  • integration with existing commercial management functions (consistency
    between commercial operations and key functional domains);
  • a global client approach (view of relational client history);
  • a product workshop (allows for the evaluation of a new product launch
    within tight deadlines)

“The solution developed for ALD presented a number of advantages,”
explained Stéphane Arbus, Director of the Insurance sector for
CGI France. “The application was developed rapidly and customized
according to ALD’s needs. It adapted to the existing environment
(AS/400) and its impact on the company’s information system was neither
major nor costly.”

“The potential of Global Insurance Solution is significant,”
stated Bruno Bohan, ALD Automotive’s Insurance Director. “We
are currently concentrating on developing the Claims Management and Product
Workshop functionalities of the tool, which represent our key areas of
activity. In this way we will obtain essential gateways between the insurance
products that we market and their related claims management and thus enhance
our quality management.
