CGI Federal, a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (CGI), (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A) today announced that it has named George Schindler as the head of its CGI Federal business unit.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Schindler was the U.S. Lead of CGI's Banking and Investments Industry Group, the largest industry group within CGI. He also led the company's New York/New Jersey Business Unit.

Mr. Schindler is a veteran Information Technology executive with over twenty years of consulting experience for Government and Commercial entities. He began his career with CGI in 1985, working in its Federal sector division providing services to several key federal civilian agencies such as the Department of State, Department of Defense and Federal Intelligence Agencies. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Computer Science.
