Foresters has been awarded first place in the national Financial Adviser Award for Best Point-of-Sale Technology. CGI used its expertise in point-of-sale software and financial planning to help Foresters build the solution, which is modelled around CGI’s Financial Advisors Workbench (FAW). FAW is based on over 15 years of software development experience in the finance industry, providing customer relationship management and customer financial analysis in one integrated system.
Based on face-to-face interaction, the point-of-sale system provides Foresters with a holistic approach to financial advice, identifying each customer’s individual aims and life goals. The solution also has a configurable rules engine designed for Foresters to construct compliance and business rules, ensuring that it is able to keep abreast of the ever-changing regulatory environment.
Foresters has an in-house team of five IT experts who ensure the smooth running of the system and keep it updated in line with product and legislative changes, supported by CGI’s application management services.
Foresters, managing director, Euan Allison said: “We were not surprised to be short-listed for the third year running, because of the systems success in enabling Foresters’ advisers to give excellent financial advice at point-of-sale. With the help of CGI, we designed a system specifically for the requirements of our financial advisers, so it is tailored to their needs in the field, with visual displays for maximum customer interaction”.
