The CGI Group Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a five year, $10 million contract for the management of Interac Association's Central Network Management Facility (CNMF). The CNMF system monitors the availability of Interac members to process transactions and provides statistical information. CGI will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of CNMF's services.

The experience of our financial systems division in the operation of mission-critical systems coupled with an appreciation of the need for exceedingly high standards of availability, reliability and data integrity will allow Interac to continue delivering a proactive, valuable service to the market," said Serge Godin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CGI.

Interac Association is a national organization, linking enterprises that have networks that communicate with each other to perform electronic financial transactions. There are two services: Shared Cash Dispensing and Interac Direct payment.
