"We are very pleased with the relationship which we have built with Spar over the past few months,'' said Serge Godin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CGI. ''Spar is a growing organization with a clear sense of direction and a leader, known for quality and reliability in a world-class, technology-driven industry which represents one of our main target markets. "CGI offered Spar an excellent support program that gives us the flexibility and quality of service that a global high technology company such as ours needs, but that we cannot necessarily afford to maintain internally on an on-going basis," said Mark C. Steinman, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Spar. "This agreement gives us the support we need as well as timely advice regarding new trends from a software and hardware perspective and their implications on our processes and our organization. More importantly, it represents a significant cost savings for us."
