Edmonton, Alberta, August 23, 2016

CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) has been selected by Alberta Human Services as the Ministry’s exclusive partner for the delivery of application management services (AMS). Alberta Human Services consolidated its vendor relationships and chose CGI as its sole AMS supplier based on a competitive process. The new, five-plus year contract, which significantly expands CGI’s scope of work, is valued at $30.4 million.

CGI’s mandate under the new contract is to provide AMS operational support to ensure high levels of application stability and responsiveness, AMS enhancements, the introduction of innovations that will improve business value, streamline operations and help on-going support of applications, through a newly formed Innovation Office, and application development services through separate application development teams.

“We are proud of our long-term partnership with Alberta Human Services which began back to 2002, and honored to expand our relationship through this new contract,” said Shawn Derby, Senior Vice-President of CGI’s Western Business Unit in Canada. “CGI has decades of experience in managing application services for major organizations in both the private and public sectors and a proven track record of delivering expected business outcomes through our experts, frameworks and tools. We look forward to continuing to help Alberta Human Services drive its performance and meet its strategic goals.”
