Tim Hurlebaus was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of CGI and a member of its Board of Directors in May 2026. He leads the company’s global strategy, focused on helping clients navigate complexity and deliver measurable business and mission outcomes through technology and transformation.

With more than 35 years of experience leading operations across both commercial and government sectors, Tim has played a central role in CGI’s journey to be a leading global IT and business consulting services firm. He leads a global team of experts and consultants to strengthen CGI’s position as a trusted partner for enterprise clients who operate in complex, mission-critical environments.

As CEO, he champions CGI’s unique culture of ownership which empowers every employee to act as a partner in the business, aligning their decisions and actions with long-term value-creation for the company’s three stakeholders: clients, employees and shareholders.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Tim served as President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the company’s operations across the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. Earlier in his career, Tim led CGI’s U.S. operations—the company’s largest market—overseeing growth across a wide range of industries, including government, financial services, energy and utilities, manufacturing, healthcare and communications. He also served as President of CGI Federal, a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Inc., where he led programs supporting civilian, defense and intelligence clients within the U.S. federal government.

Tim has lived in multiple countries during his career with CGI and is passionate about engaging in the communities where he lives and works. This has included serving as Board Chair for The Women’s Center in the Washington, DC, area, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Technology Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Purdue University.
