(TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced the signing of a five-year agreement for the provision of custom application development and maintenance for Encana Corporation, a high-growth, low-cost leader in natural gas production.

CGI will manage over 370 custom applications Encana requires to run its business. CGI is leveraging its near-shore delivery capabilities and predictive cost model to minimize risk and reduce cost.
