Ten years ago, CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) and Manulife entered into an outsourcing agreement that led to the opening of CGI’s Global IT Development Center in Halifax. In September 2004, more than 200 employees from Manulife became CGI members, joining more than 100 existing CGI members in the Halifax office. Today, there are close to 450 CGI members in Halifax and 700 in Atlantic Canada, making CGI Atlantic Canada’s largest IT employer.
