CGI Group Inc., (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and business process services announces the appointment of George Schindler, currently President, CGI Federal, to President U.S. Operations, effective Oct. 1, 2011 and Donna Ryan to President, CGI Federal, subject to the approval of the Defense Security Service (DSS). In addition, Donna Morea, current President of CGI’s U.S. and India operations is retiring after a successful 31-year career with the company.

Throughout his career with CGI, George Schindler has held a variety of senior leadership positions across both the public and private sectors. Prior to serving as President of CGI Federal, George had overall responsibility for CGI operations in the Greater New York region, while also overseeing our U.S. Banking and Financial Service practice. He was instrumental in driving innovation across CGI’s market-leading IP portfolio for this important sector. Under George’s leadership, CGI Federal was named the 2010 Greater Washington “U.S. Government Contractor of the Year” (greater than $300 million) by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council, and Washington Technology. These same organizations have also nominated George as “Executive of the Year 2011”.
Throughout her 24-year career with CGI, Donna Ryan has been responsible for the strategy, planning, and successful delivery of services and solutions to CGI’s federal civilian agency clients. Donna’s many accomplishments include the strategic transformation of the company’s leading ERP solution for government, Momentum®, into a full scale Managed Services program, supporting such major U.S. government agencies such as the Department of State, the General Services Administration and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
