CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) today announced that it received two Center for Digital Government “Best Fit Integrator” awards for engagements with the City of Los Angeles and the Kentucky Department of Revenue. The awards program is driven by nominations from public sector agencies and recognizes vendors that successfully deliver solutions to fit the unique needs of government.

The City of Los Angeles partnered with CGI to successfully implement a citywide budgeting solution and an associated management reporting platform. CGI Advantage Performance Budgeting and infoAdvantage replaced a 15-year-old legacy system with modern, web-based budgeting and reporting solution, providing a single, efficient and secure system that supports all budget cycle activities from preparation to publishing and adoption.

“From the first meeting, CGI performed as a true partner and collaborated with the City to establish a unified and cohesive City-CGI team,” said Ben Ceja, Assistant City Administrative Officer for the City of Los Angeles. “Our partnership on this innovative performance budgeting solution is putting the multiple benefits of centralization, standardization and automation to work for the City of Los Angeles. We are pleased to see the company receive this prestigious honor.”

The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) partnered with CGI to upgrade its 27-year-old debt collection system with a goal to improve taxpayer service, internal efficiencies and collections. Predictive models were also developed to help determine the most effective strategy at the lowest cost and with the least taxpayer intrusion. As a result, the State has certified the collection of more than $53 million which otherwise would not have been collected.

“CGI not only provided an offering that addressed the Commonwealth’s challenges, but also brought the staff and expertise required to deliver the project within budget and on schedule,” said Mark Gillim, Executive Director of the Office of Processing and Enforcement for the Kentucky Department of Revenue. “Congratulations to CGI for this recognition as a best fit integrator. Working together, we are realizing DOR’s vision of improved citizen service and increased revenue recovery.”

“We are honored that the City of Los Angeles, the Kentucky Department of Revenue and the Center for Digital Government have recognized our efforts with these awards,” said CGI Senior Vice President Daniel Keene. “CGI brings a valuable combination of built-for-government software and deep government domain expertise that allows our clients to successfully achieve a best fit solution to their unique challenges.”
