Edmonton, Alberta, April 13, 2015

CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE:GIB) is pleased to announce the renewal of its application maintenance services (AMS) contract with the Ministry of Health in Alberta (Alberta Health) for three years. The original contract was signed in 2011 for three and a half years, and the high quality work delivered by CGI under the contract led to the three-year extension.

CGI’s collaboration with Alberta Health actually extends back to 2001 and encompasses a range of IT services and projects.

“CGI has consistently delivered high quality services that have enabled us to achieve our business goals,” said Susan Anderson, Assistant Deputy Minister and CIO for Alberta Health. “The CGI team has gone the extra mile to ensure our success and acts as an extension of our own team. Through CGI, Alberta Health has benefited from exceptional support and continuous improvement.”

“Our work with Alberta Health over the past 15 years has resulted in a partnership based on strong trust and the award of numerous strategic contracts to CGI,” said Shawn Derby, Senior Vice-President of CGI’s Western Business Unit in Canada. “Some of these include the development of the Alberta Organ Tissue Donor Registry, which received the ITAC Ingenious Award in 2014, the new eHealth Support Services contract, several continuous improvement initiatives, and assistance with two major application migration projects, among others. We’re proud that our support has helped Alberta Health to perform more effectively and provide better healthcare to the citizens of Alberta.”
