Toulouse, France, February 1, 2018

Airbus Group has renewed a contract with CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) for the support of its global human resources system. Under the terms of this three-year, multi-million euro contract, CGI will provide IT support for all Airbus Group HR applications, which are used by close to 120,000 employees worldwide in four languages, including French, German, English and Spanish.

As part of the agreement and based on the mutual commitment of Airbus Group and CGI to recruit people with disabilities, CGI will integrate professionals with disabilities into its teams.

“At Airbus, we have long believed in hiring and integrating people with disabilities,” said Claude Pradal, Manager, Human Resources IT Maintenance and Support for Airbus Group. “As part of our policy to support job creation opportunities for these individuals, we have introduced a new procurement strategy that reserves a portion of our subcontracting tenders for the sheltered sectors (EA and ESAT). We also encourage our top-ranked subcontractors to adopt this same approach by integrating into their bid preparation criteria the sheltered sector market segment and the benefits of collaborating with players in this sector. CGI fits this profile completely, and we are very pleased to be part of this joint commitment to support people with disabilities.”

“We are delighted to continue our work with Airbus,” added Jean-Michel Baticle, President of CGI’s operations in France, Luxembourg and Morocco. “This renewed confidence demonstrates CGI’s ability to engage in and meet our clients’ strategic requirements. Our competencies in project management, combined with our mastery of information technologies and the fields of HR and procurement, enable us to quickly and effectively respond to Airbus’s HR and supply chain imperatives.”
