Axel Foley leads the Air Force Sector within the Defense, Intelligence, and Space Business Unit at CGI Federal, a wholly owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI, Inc.
Mr. Foley has 40+ years of information technology and cybersecurity experience leading both military and civilian teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments at all levels of the military supporting missions around the globe. At CGI, Mr. Foley is responsible for the strategy and execution of delivery, client relationships, and business development for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Transportation Command, and U.S. Strategic Command accounts.
Prior to joining CGI Federal, Mr. Foley was the Vice President, Air Force Delivery at Array Information Technology which was acquired by CGI Federal in October 2021. There, Mr. Foley led the Air Force team’s delivery on a 14 program portfolio with 172 professionals supporting Air Force operations, plans, maintenance, supply, and finance systems.
Mr. Foley is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served as a communications officer for more than 26 years and retiring in the grade of colonel.
Mr. Foley has a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering from Tulane University and a master of business administration in aviation management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a certified Project Management Professional. Mr. Foley is a member of the Air and Space Force Association, the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association, and the Project Management Institute.
