Derrick Williams leads the passport program within CGI Federal's International Affairs business unit. In this role, he manages and is responsible for all of CGI Federal’s passport production contracts at the Department of State. Contract operations include intake, document processing, communications, and book print services. The Passport Sector is comprised of more than 1,600 members and subcontractors at 29 locations throughout the United States.
Williams joined CGI and the passport program over a decade ago. He has served in various leadership roles across multiple locations, including stints in Arizona, New Hampshire and South Carolina. At each location, he strengthened client relations, increased member satisfaction, implemented process improvement initiatives, and shared best practices.
He holds a Master of Science in Project and Operations Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Illinois, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
