Mr. Pesanti provides strategic technical guidance and innovation thought leadership in his current role at CGI Federal. He joined CGI through the acquisition of Array Information Technology, where he served as the IT Director and Senior Solutions Executive. With over 30 years of progressive leadership in the IT field, he has held key positions in both the federal and civilian sectors.

Prior to ARRAY, he served as the chief technology officer for Technatomy Corporation, where he was responsible for new client solution development and corporate IT. There he led the technical solution development that resulted in Technatomy winning key contracts at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Mr. Pesanti also held leadership positions at Infozen, supporting contracts with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Joint Staff (J6) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD). In addition, he led the DISA IT Service Management (ITSM) program that included the ITIL process implementation for the DISA Network Services (NS) Directorate.

In the government, Mr. Pesanti served as chief information officer at the VA Central Office, (VACO), leading a government staff of 192 and 50 contractors. His group supported more than 6500 users from the top leadership levels of all VA organizations, including the secretary, undersecretaries, assistant secretaries and Senior Executive Service positions. Additionally he managed the design, development, implementation, and operations of information and communication system technology needs of VACO, encompassing more than 16 geographic locations with a budget of over $78 million dollars.

Mr. Pesanti joined Cubic Defense Applications Group, Inc. as an International Information Technology Executive consultant to lead IT Modernization for the Defense Ministry of Slovakia. His responsibility included IT planning, organizational structure, budget and program development for the Slovak Defense Ministry systems. His efforts enabled Slovakia to attain NATO and European Union membership successfully in April/May 2004 while guiding IT expenditures and meeting restrictions of 2% of GDP, achieving an overall $10 million in cost avoidance.

After returning to the United States from Slovakia, he served as the Deputy IT Realignment Director, managing the development and successful implementation of VA’s two year IT centralization transformation, named the VA Information Technology (IT) Realignment Program. He spearheaded the framework necessary to develop, establish and successfully implement the VA IT Management System (ITMS) that resulted in full IT Realignment under the VA CIO.

Mr. Pesanti received a Bachelors’ of Science in Computer Systems from the University of the State of New York and a Master’s Degree in Management from Troy State University, Troy, Alabama.
