Our commitment to Scotland
As a responsible business with over 500 professionals working across Scotland, we contribute to the continuous improvement of the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the communities in which we live and work. We have designed our client proximity business model to enable local teams to build lasting, trusted relationships delivered through local experts. Our local experts draw on an established understanding of Scotland’s client industries and local business and insights from a diverse global network. This ensures we bring the right talent, innovation and scale to every engagement using a collaborative style and consultative approach.
Trusted to do complex things well
Our clients in Scotland trust us to provide world-class and bespoke IT business solutions in application services, infrastructure, managed IT and cybersecurity.
We partner with some of Scotland’s largest public and private sector organisations. We deliver services across health and social care, education, energy, transport and financial services, implementing cost-effective technology solutions while providing citizens with vital services - creating the connectivity that will make Scotland the Smart Place of the future.
Building the foundations for a smart place
Edinburgh Council is one of the largest local government authorities in the UK, with some 17,000 employees providing services to almost 500,000 people. We have worked with the City of Edinburgh Council since 2015 to make the city a smart place, harnessing technology to ensure the Council delivers higher quality services to its citizens.
Working in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council, we deliver a series of interlinked core transformation projects to help the council work more efficiently. Together we are helping to make the City of Edinburgh a smart place.
Creatively using technology to deliver for the citizens of Glasgow
Glasgow City Council is the local government authority for the City of Glasgow. As the largest local authority in Scotland, it delivers essential services to the city and its 600,000 citizens.
CGI became the local authority’s primary provider of end-to-end managed IT services in 2017. Since then, we have delivered transformational change to the city of Glasgow, its employees and its citizens.
Creating smart rural communities
We're working with the Scottish Borders Council (SBC) to transform IT and introduce integrated digital services. The transformation is improving citizen digital experience across a range of council services while delivering new high-speed broadband initiatives for schools and communities.
We have also established an ICT delivery centre of excellence within the Scottish Borders region to support its growing client base in Scotland. The delivery centre will aid in developing the local economy by creating 200 new jobs, and employment opportunities for local young people will be offered through Modern Apprenticeships.
