Mohammed was appointed as a graduate sustainability consultant via CGI’s Fast Futures mentorship programme, making him the first direct hire from the scheme. Mohammed’s academic background is in BSc Biology and MSc Environmental Assessment and Management; having received the top grade in his dissertations for both his BSc and Msc, Mohammed has a proven record of producing high-quality research reports. He worked with the UK’s first Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, OBE Kevin Hyland, to produce his MSc dissertation.
Mohammed is also an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), and volunteers as a prominent IEMA Futures Steering group member. This role includes presenting on various topics including carbon accounting and the importance of green skills. Mohammed has also appeared on the IEMA podcast ‘Greening the News’ alongside IEMA’s CEO, MBE Sarah Mukherjee, and has produced articles for the globally distributed IEMA magazine ‘Transform’.
Engaging across a broad range of industries (including healthcare, manufacturing and local authorities), Mohammed’s career experience includes performing GHG inventory, scope 3 assessments and carbon inventory statements, delivering guidance notes that support clients’ net zero journeys.
