A certificate in the mobile device gives the user the opportunity to for example connect to the company’s WIFI network. It also supplies a more secure way to synchronize e-mail and calendar through ActiveSync as well as the possibility to authenticate against in-house systems as timesheets, internal web and similar.

The service provides an easy way to issue and enroll certificates to the company’s mobile devices. CGI supplies a self administration interface where the end users can handle their devices themselves. The logon process is done with Single Sign-On (SSO) using existing Kerberos login.

Mobile devices is an add-on service that is managed and delivered by Certificate Service. The basic service Certificate Services offers issuing and verification of certificates. This can be combined with add-ons like for example automatic enrollment and Smart cards.
