CGI has expanded its electronic records information management system (eRIMS) to serve health and human services and government
housing agencies in addition to courts and justice agencies. Coupling extensive housing and human services domain expertise
with eRIMS technology, CGI helps agencies improve efficiency, access key information, integrate disparate systems and
maintain compliance.

How eRIMS Works

Government agencies need fast and easy access to their clients' records. eRIMS electronically captures and stores case
documents, forms, digital signatures and other records, allowing for immediate retrieval. eRIMS has an easy-to-use interface,
allowing staff to quickly search and find documents on either the Web or a network-based system.

The eRIMS solution consists of three key modules:

  • Capture: scanning and document capture, accepting a full range of input, from e-mail to work processing files, photos,
    Web forms and other e-content;
  • Document management: extensive search, viewing, report generation, record purging and full system security;
  • Forms on demand: electronically generates, stores, indexes and manages all versions and form revisions.

What CGI Provides

eRIMS helps government agencies provide faster and more efficient services to their clients. To help agencies battle increased
paperwork requirements, eRIMS automates processes currently duplicated in the traditional paper routing process, improving
efficiency and reducing costs.

By implementing an eRIMS solution, agencies can integrate disparate information systems and improve compliance and
accountability with Federal and State regulations. Agencies using eRIMS have immediate access to key information, helping
them to make better decisions with complete information.

"Government agencies fight a never-ending battle to keep up with the paperwork required to serve their constituents. Because
we understand how health and human services, courts and justice, housing and other government agencies operate, we developed
our innovative eRIMS solutions to help them reduce paperwork handling, improve customer service and streamline operations. The
less time agencies spend shifting paper, the more time they spend with people. eRIMS helps government agencies serve their
clients better," said Gregory Robinson, principal in CGI's Government Unit.
