CGI's credit union team has released another component of their
browser-based CyberSuite solution. The CGI Loan Navigator is a powerful
tool that not only retrieves credit bureau reports in an on-line environment,
but automatically decisions the loan application within seconds using
information gathered from credit bureau reporting agencies and credit
union defined business rules.

The quick application feature allows credit union authorized personnel
to quickly draw the required information into the fields for processing.
It is so intuitive that any credit union staff member can take a loan
application and submit it for decisioning - thus turning every credit
union representative into a potential loan processor.

This solution uses XML messaging to communicate between a Web-server
and the credit union's host system to retrieve data, populate fields
(using information pulled directly from credit agencies), and decision
a loan for approval or referral within seconds.

Loan Navigator is a zero-client based application that is fast and efficient
and delivers instant financing gratification to credit union members.
All that is required to run this application is a PC and a browser. The
zero-client approach allows for fast and easy updates and enhancements
to the program without the need for manual uploads to individual PCs.

Another user-friendly feature includes the built-in forms warehouse.
This feature allows the credit union processor to select and print the
proper forms as required. Forms are generated in a pdf file and laser
printed as necessary.

While four CGI credit unions are currently Alpha testing the system,
there will be a general release in October, 2002. This solution is available
to all credit unions and is not limited to the CGI client base.

Comments and Quotations
"This tool is the perfect example of member-centric
applications. It was designed for fast loan decisions, keeping credit
unions competitive in the world of quick financing," explains Warren
Marshall, Vice-President of Marketing. "This, like all CGI solutions,
is meant to give credit unions another technological tool to help in their
growth and advancement."
