The transformation to a secure, affordable low-carbon energy system has finally kicked off. In the Netherlands where I work, for example, the deadline of the Renewable Energy Projects scheme is being extended from 2023 to 2030, and this initiative will now support new sustainable energy innovations aimed at achieving cost savings in the longer term.
