Montréal, Quebec, June 15, 2016

CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) is pleased to announce the launch of its new global corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, “Dream Connectors,” which will support its professionals in making a sustainable impact in the communities in which we work and live.

Since its founding on June 15, 1976, CGI has operated under the CGI dream: “To create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of.” This dream has fostered a strong set of values, including contributing to the continuous development of our communities. Drawing upon the company’s rich heritage of working in close partnership with our clients and communities, the Dream Connectors initiative connects our shared dream with the dreams of our communities, providing further support for the service projects in which we engage. Through the program, CGI’s global network of 65,000 professionals (referred to as members) will have the opportunity to submit community service initiatives that are voted upon by members and selected to receive the expertise, time and funding needed to make the service project a success.

“CGI is a global leader in Information technology services. Every day, our professionals help clients achieve their goals by working together to bring them the best of CGI. We’ve also engaged in community service activities that leverage our innovative IT and project management expertise to improve our communities’ social, economic and environmental well-being,” said Julie Godin, Executive Vice-President, Global Human Resources and Strategic Planning. “Through CGI’s Dream Connectors program, we take CGI’s long tradition of supporting local communities to the next level. With projects submitted, voted on and carried out by CGI’s professionals, we will serve as dream connectors for our communities.”

The initiative will encourage CGI professionals to submit community service projects that will benefit their communities while also furthering their own professional and personal growth. As part of the selection criteria, CGI members are asked to demonstrate how the initiative will benefit their community, draw upon the talents of our global network of professionals, and create opportunities to engage alongside our clients in joint community service partnerships.
