Fairfax, Virginia, November 3, 2010

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), a US$22 million firm-fixed-price task order including a one-year base and five, one-year option periods issued under the multi-vendor, seven-year, US$955 million, ITS-EPA II Program Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

Under this task order, CGI will provide an agency-wide call center to support central and local infrastructure, desktop, local and national telecommunications, and application software in a firm-fixed-price per seat environment. Under this contract, CGI will help EPA support its customers and the public with voice communications, e-mail, fax, web access, and online chat services.

“CGI is pleased to be awarded this new work, which will help EPA reduce duplicative functions, increase the quality of service, and reduce costs,” said George Schindler, President of CGI Federal. “Importantly, this call center provides services across EPA in support of the mission and Administrator’s priorities.”

"We are proud to continue our 30-plus year partnership with EPA through this work given that the call center is often the face of IT for the user community,” said Kenyon Wells, Vice President, CGI. “Together with our partners, including Apptis, we are honored to be chosen to support this critical program as a result of our proven track record of delivery excellence at EPA, our knowledge of their core mission, and our past performance in support of other call centers.”

In addition to this new contract, CGI provides support to EPA on multiple large programs, including their Central Data Exchange (CDX) and the Financial Systems Modernization Program (FSMP).
