Community involvement
CGI believes our business is an important part of the community and we support numerous local programs through our time and resources. Following are some of the activities we support in Lafayette:

CGI STEM Camp, which teaches children about STEM-related careers through fun, interactive one-day events, provided at no cost to the students, was started at our Lafayette Center by three college hires in their first year of employment.

in 2018, CGI professionals mentored four Lafayette student teams participating in the Louisiana 3rd district Congressional App Challenge, including the winning app team.

Our Lafayette team partnered with the Lafayette Consolidated Government, Bayou Vermilion District and the Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association to create a geospatial Paddle Trail App that focused on raising awareness of the Bayou Vermilion that runs through Lafayette.

Our members also have volunteered to support Project Front Yard (PFY), Lafayette Central Park and the United Way.
